Ski Trip

We are staying at the Gasthof Multhaler in the typically Austrian village of Kuchl which is surrounded by the Tennenebirge Mountains. The opening shots in the film “The sound of Music” were taken in the village and surrounding area. Kuchl is 15 minutes from Salzberg and 25 minutes to the ski lifts in Flachau or Alpendorf where we will be skiing.

BASI Qualification gained by College Student
Lissy Walters has passed the British Association of Ski Instructors Level 1 qualification completing a weeks testing in Zermatt. The course not only checked her ability to teach people to ski but included mountain first aid, child safety and 35 hours of mentoring by experienced ski instructors. Lissy is hoping to complete the Level 2 course this Easter and to use her teaching skills on the College ski trip. In December this year she will be returning to Europe to complete ‘a season’ teaching and ski guiding in the Alps.
