During the course students work in a range of media and art disciplines, these include:

Drawing and painting
Creating realistic and abstract imagery
Graphics
Printmaking
3-Dimensional work
Computer aided imagery
Collage
Studying and Appreciating the work of Artists

Assessment

Coursework (final major project as a culmination of coursework undertaken in controlled conditions) 60%

Controlled Test (set by the examination board) 40%

Progression

Success in this subject allows students to progress to AS/A2 level Art, Photography or Applied GCE Art and Design. Many of our students progress to take the subject further in higher education.
