Daniel Harker - Music Technology

“I was really keen to take Music Technology at Northallerton College as an AS Course. I came to the open evening and saw the department and was hooked instantly. I spent two hours even then playing with the gear they have available, it really is incredible how developed the department is. The facilities and equipment are really good and very useful, especially if you’re in a band as you get a lot of playing and performance time. There are 3 projects and only one test in the AS course, which is good for me as I am a practical kind of guy. One of the best things about Music Technology for me
personally is the help and guidance that you receive from the teacher, getting used to the software can be tricky for anyone, but if you have any questions or worries, you can ask at anytime which helps . . . a lot. “In all honesty, I wasn’t sure about going to college at first. But after two weeks it all settled down and it just began to become comfortable, friendly and a good place to learn and develop my skills. The independence you gain is very beneficial, just make sure you use it well. I really do recommend A levels at Northallerton College.”
