Hannah Whyman - Drama and Theatre Studies

“Currently, I am studying Performing Arts at A level and really enjoy it. I have studied it since GCSE and found it is a great way to build your confidence and learn a variety of techniques to use in your performances. It also looks at your organisation and production skills which focus on areas like advertising, costume and technical. It helps you to become independent because you are always assessing yourself and looking for ways to improve. As well as developing your independence skills, it helps you to improve your group skills because you have to work as a team throughout the course, in class work and in rehearsals. This can be very challenging and it requires commitment, flexibility and a good sense of humour. This subject has also enabled me to be involved with school productions such as ‘Lord of the Flies’ and ‘Under Milk Wood.”
