“Are you a budding film maker?
Perhaps you could be the next Steven
Spielberg or Ridley Scott. In any
case, if you have an interest in the
film industry, Media Studies is for
you. The course offers a fantastic
insight into all sorts of aspects of
the Media industry, from the history
of cinema, to storyboarding a short
film.
“As a subject, Media Studies allows
you to work much more freely and
creatively than a lot of other
subjects. The coursework gives you
almost 100% creative freedom as long
as you fulfil the specified brief.
Throughout the
coursework process you learn so many
new skills, such as how to use
recording equipment to its full
potential, and how to edit film
using Adobe Premiere in the editing
suite.

interesting. You study films and how
they are made, and also the business
side of the media industry, which
allows room for class discussions
about all sorts of Media related
