Welcome to Northallerton College website. I
hope you find this site useful and
informative about college life. Our college
exists to enhance the experiences of our
students and to help them achieve their full
potential. We believe in good behaviour,
respect for others, and encouraging students
to become confident young adults. We aim to
develop these qualities in our students
through a broad, balanced and personalised
curriculum. The close relationships we build
with parents are very important and we value
their support.
I
hope this website also conveys to you our
commitment to the community we serve and the
importance we place on being outward
looking. This is clearly seen in our
partnerships with other schools.
Partnership with the
Allertonshire School, from where the
vast majority of our students transfer at
14, is long-standing and especially close.
It continues to thrive and develop,
coordinated by a joint governors committee
and regular liaison between staff.
We
also have a successful and mutually
beneficial partnership with the
Dales School, which sees their Sixth
Form students and staff working with us for
part of their week, enriching the life of
the college.
In
more recent years we have joined in a
federation with
Risedale Sports and Community College.
This has developed from providing a‘helping
hand’to a school that was struggling to
improve into a vibrant and mutually
beneficial association that has gone from
strength to strength.
These partnerships, and the many less close
but nonetheless valuable links with other
schools and agencies, locally, nationally
and internationally, are a vital part of our
work and the key to achieving our aim of
constantly improving the educational
experiences available to our students. They
also make my role as Executive Principal
immensely rewarding.
We
are very proud of our college and welcome
visitors. If you wish to see us at work,
please do not hesitate to contact us to
arrange a visit.
