Laura Cassidy
Teacher Governor
I have been a qualified
teacher for 5 years but I have
worked in education for 7. I
relocated to North Yorkshire in 2009
from Rochdale in Greater Manchester.
I have worked with a wide variety of
young people during my career which
has sometimes been challenging but
mostly rewarding. I have been a
Governor for nearly a year now and I
have enjoyed learning more about
what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ in
Northallerton College.
My real passion
is Literature and I hope to raise
its profile amongst our young people
at college through extra curricular
trips, book clubs and writing
competitions in the future.
