John Glahome BSc CA
I was elected as a Parent Governor
at Northallerton College in 1999 and
was co-opted as a parent governor
for the Federation.
Both my sons attended Allertonshire
School and Northallerton College and
progressed to Leeds University from
where they have now graduated.
I served as a member of the Finance,
Personnel and Health & Safety
committees for Northallerton College
and am currently a member of the
resources Committees for
Northallerton and Risedale. I am
particularly focused on the
financial viability and the
regulatory compliance of the
Colleges to enable them to continue
to provide outstanding education to
the young people of Northallerton
and Risedale.
I qualified as a Chartered
Accountant in Edinburgh and have
been employed since 2003 by Askham
Bryan College in York where I am
currently Director of Finance.
Askham Bryan College is a further
education College providing full and
part time education in Land Based
subjects and has co-operation
arrangements with the Federation. I
have previously worked as a
commercial accountant and with major
firms of auditors.
