Sixth Form Dress Code

 

 

Year 12 and 13 Dress Code

Post-16 students are expected to dress in an inoffensive and sensible manner. Individuality will be respected, but students are asked to dress appropriately for a teaching and learning environment. Clothing should be of a casual/smart appearance, not extreme in any way. It should be clean, tidy and not revealing.

Students are asked not to wear:

short strappy tops, midriff tops, short skirts (mid thigh), ripped garments, garments with offensive wording, hats (in the college buildings), caps, excessive make-up and jewellery, facial jewellery (with the exception of ears).

PHYSICAL EDUCATION KIT

Northallerton College has a specific kit policy for students taking part in PE lessons.  This is to ensure students are suitably prepared for lessons, take part in physical activities safely and look smart.  Details below outline these expectations.

Girls

·         Northallerton College short sleeve black polo shirt

·         Plain black shorts (optional)

·         Plain black jogging bottoms

·         Plain black sweatshirt/fleece

·         For hockey plain long black football socks

·         For netball or summer term activities sports/trainer socks

·         Predominantly white, non-marking trainers for indoor use

·         For hockey – football boots and shin pads (compulsory for health and safety reasons)

·         Gum shield strongly advisable for hockey lessons and compulsory for matches.

·         Northallerton College short sleeve black polo shirt (compulsory)

·         Northallerton College rugby style reversible jersey for outdoor activities

·         Plain black shorts

·         Plain black jogging bottoms (optional)

·         Plain black sweatshirt/fleece (optional)

·         For football and rugby plain long black socks

·         For indoor or summer term activities sports/trainer socks

·         Predominantly white, non-marking trainers for indoor use

·         Boots for football, rugby and hockey options

·         Shin pads for football and gum shield for rugby (compulsory for health and safety reasons).

 

Those wishing to involve themselves in competitive sport will be able to purchase Northallerton College hooded fleece tops, leotards and trampoline slippers, as optional items of PE kit through TP Sports or through the college directly.
