Brief Outline
The course aims to
develop your understanding and practice of
Drama and Theatre in performance. The course
focuses on the study of theatre in practice;
you will explore a range of drama texts
practically, as well as through live theatre
performances. You will also develop your
skills as performers and directors, as well
as exploring design and technical aspects of
production.
Methods of Teaching
The course is predominantly practical in
nature. You will be involved in a wide range
of practical workshops, discussion,
independent study, problem solving and
research activities. First hand experience
of professional practice is also gained
through theatre visits and working with
professional performers. Alongside this runs
a clear performance focus, with skills being
developed through direction in preparation
for a range of productions as part of the
course.
